As noted by the author early in this excellent read, there have been lots of books written on happiness, or more accurately, how to be happy, but most of those books are long on philosophical theories but fall short of providing relevant practical advice on how to put those theories into practice. Not true with Finding Your Path: Discover Your Unique Happiness. The author immediately caught my attention when she described and discussed the differences between "happy," "happier," and happiness. The book then takes off on a journey from there to help the reader discover their own happiness. Filled with great quotes, the book provides a real-life roadmap for pursuing and discovering your owner personal happiness. You still have to put in the personal effort and do the work to unlock the key to YOUR happiness, but all the tools needed for this journey of discovery are provided in this gem of a book. I would label this a "must read" for anyone struggling to define - and find - their own happiness. Isn't that all of us?

...the answer to what we are all talking about these days, but seem to find elusive…happiness! I loved the format of the book, the key takeaways at the end of every chapter and the emphasis on the individual responsibility of the journey. I love how it recognizes and supports that we are all different but can all find happiness.

Rebecca got me at "Your happiness comes from YOU..." Something we know, right? Yet, we allow all the other factors and elements of the world to alter our own belief in that. "Finding Your Path" is full of beautiful, unexpected tough love - on the journey to true happiness. A lot of the questions asked stopped me in my thoughts - familiar questions, as though I heard them before in the dialogue of my mind, questions I've asked myself yet couldn't hold myself accountable to have to face, answer or admit the truth to until Rebecca asked them - making me sit and think deeply about not just her prompted questions, but my life…

…The mantra of Finding Your Path is that happiness starts at self. We need to start where we are. Although the definition of happiness changes as we progress through life, the one thing that remains constant is that it is up to us to figure it out. By managing our stress, and deciding "I am enough," we can work out what is holding us back to pursuing and finally accepting the happiness we deserve…

What a delightful book to read! I love how the author explained what being happy really means and gave a lot of insight into why chasing after happiness doesn't work...

For me, this book was a "can't put down"! Rebecca Hayes seems to have been in my head as her simple, common sense strategies to " discovering" my own happiness resonated with each chapter and each technique within those chapters. Not a one size fits all, but formulas for determining our own path. I recommend it to anyone searching for happiness or feeling a little lost due to changes or loss or simple confusion. Love the key takeaways at the end of each chapter. I'm definitely getting the workbook & rereading!
